Fulfilling Daughter’s Disneyland Dream: Kaushik’s Hong Kong Family Trip with Thrillophilia

The first time I held my daughter, Arya, in my arms, I promised myself that I would make all her dreams come true. Now, she’s 10 years old. One day, while watching her favourite movie, Frozen, she suddenly asked, “Papa, can I meet the characters for real?” That’s when I told her about Disneyland. Like any other child, her eyes lit up with excitement. She looked at me and asked, “Papa, can we go to Disneyland? I really want to meet Elsa!”
At that moment, I knew I had to make it happen. And what better time than her birthday month? I started planning, and Hong Kong Disneyland seemed perfect. Since I had visited Hong Kong a few times for work, I also wanted my family to experience the beauty of the city. I booked a week-long Hong Kong package with Thrillophilia, a company I have trusted before. I knew they would make our trip smooth and unforgettable. I couldn’t wait to surprise Arya with the best birthday gift ever!
A Day in Macau

We began our trip with Macau and it was an amazing experience. We started by exploring the ancient fortress and city walls, soaking in the rich history of the place. Arya was fascinated by how old everything was, and we kept clicking pictures at every corner.
Next, we visited the Na Tcha Temple, a small yet beautiful temple with traditional Chinese architecture. The highlight of the day was the Ruins of St. Paul’s – the grand structure left us speechless. We loved sitting on the steps while we admired the stunning details of the ruins.
The Golden Lotus Statue was another stop, shining brightly under the sun. We also took a walk through Lover’s Lane, a charming and peaceful spot. Fisherman’s Wharf was a fun place to stroll around, with its colourful buildings and lively atmosphere. What we loved the most was how Macau blended history with modern charm. Every spot had a story, and we made sure to capture them all in our pictures.
A Magical Evening

After exploring Macau we headed to Hong Kong and after our journey and good relaxation, we set out for a fun night city tour. Our first stop was Victoria Peak, where we took a tram ride up to enjoy breathtaking views of the sparkling Victoria Harbor. The city lights looked absolutely stunning and lit like a Christmas tree.
Next, we visited the Wax Museum, where Arya and my wife had a blast posing with celebrity figures. We then stopped by the historic Old Clock Tower, a beautiful reminder of Hong Kong’s past and stopped for a quick snack. The highlight was the Star Ferry cruise across Victoria Harbor. The cool breeze and dazzling skyline made it a perfect end to the evening!
Splashful Day at Ocean Park

Our day at Ocean Park was packed with excitement! As soon as we arrived, Arya was thrilled to see the huge park with so many rides and attractions. We started with some fun rides like Bumper Blaster and Flying Swing, laughing and screaming with joy. The real thrill came with Hair Raiser – it was fast and super thrilling!
One of the best moments was watching the dolphin show at Dolphin Explorations. Arya was amazed to see them jump, spin, and play. She couldn’t stop admiring them and kept talking about how intelligent and beautiful they were. We then explored Marine World, where we saw sharks, stingrays, and other fascinating sea creatures. The day wasn’t complete without a few more rides, including the Whirly Bird, which gave us a fantastic aerial view of the park.
By evening, we were tired but so happy. Ocean Park gave us a perfect mix of adventure, fun, and magical moments. But I could not wait for what was coming next and to see the happiness on my daughter’s face when we visited Disneyland!
A Magical Birthday Present at Disneyland

The moment we entered Disneyland, Arya’s eyes lit up with excitement. She had no idea we were coming here and it was the birthday present we promised her, and when I told her, she gasped in surprise and hugged me tightly. “Papa, this is the best birthday present ever!” she said, her voice full of joy.
We started our adventure at Main Street, taking in the magical atmosphere. Arya loved Fantasyland, where we met Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Stitch. But the most special moment was when she finally met Elsa. Seeing her favourite character in real life was a dream come true! She ran up, hugged Elsa, and couldn’t stop smiling. I literally took hundreds of pictures!

We explored Toy Story Land and rode exciting rides. Space Mountain gave us an adrenaline rush while Sleeping Beauty Castle left us in awe. We also watched the spectacular parade and enjoyed delicious Disney-themed treats. As the day ended with the dazzling fireworks show, Arya held my hand and said, “This was the happiest day of my life. Thank you, Mom and Dad.” Seeing her so happy made every effort worth it. Disneyland truly made our trip unforgettable!
From the enchanting city lights to fulfilling our Disneyland dream, our family trip was worth every penny, and with Thrillophilia's assistance, everything was seamless and stress-free.
