Sushil’s Review of Singapore Tour with Thrillophilia
After months of dreaming about the perfect family vacation, Sushil’s family finalized Singapore. Wanting to experience everything the destination had to offer, they turned to Thrillophilia for help.
From heart-pounding roller coasters at Universal Studios to lazy afternoons on the sandy shores of Sentosa, Thrillophilia had it all planned to perfection. Excitement was in the air as the family looked forward to every new adventure that awaited them in Singapore!
Splashing Through Universal’s Wonders
The family kicked off their Singapore adventure at Universal Studios. As soon as they entered the park, the little girl’s eyes lit up at the sight of the massive Transformers statue. She couldn't stop smiling as she gazed at the giant Optimus Prime. The parents, both excited and curious, were ready for a day full of adventure.
They began with the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, a water ride that was as thrilling as it was wet. Sushil’s daughter yelled with joy as they splashed through the rapids. Afterwards, they also explored the 'Revenge of the Mummy' ride. Sushil was a little unsure at first, but his curiosity got the better of him. They all hopped into the ride and screamed their way through the dark, fire-filled tombs. The family found themselves laughing in relief when it was finally over, especially after the wild twists and turns.
For the girl, the highlight of the day was meeting some of her favourite characters. She was delighted when a minion waved at her from the side of Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. The parents were just as amused by her excitement, taking photos with characters and sharing the joy. The family wrapped up their Universal Studios visit with a show at the Waterworld arena, where stuntmen performed jaw-dropping tricks. It was a perfect end to a day packed with fun and laughter.
Creatures of the Night
The family was eager for something completely different, and the Singapore Night Safari was the perfect choice. They arrived as the sun began to set, setting the ambience for a memorable experience.
The safari started with a guided tram ride through the park, where the family got a chance to listen to the sounds of nocturnal creatures. The little girl’s eyes were wide with wonder as she spotted animals like the majestic tigers and the slow-moving sloths. Even the adults, who had seen zoos and wildlife parks before, were amazed at how the night brought the animals to life.
The tram ride also gave them a rare glimpse of a clouded leopard, which the guide explained was usually a rare sight. The highlight of the tour was the Creatures of the Night Show, where a mix of owls, wild dogs, and other animals showcased their unique skills.
After the tram ride, Sushil along with his family also got a chance to walk through the park on foot. The entire family had a great time taking in the ambience of being so close to exotic animals in their natural habitat. By the time they left, they were all sharing stories with each other about the animals they had seen, making it a night they would never forget.
Exploring Singapore’s Iconic Sights
The whole family took a day to explore the city, and Singapore did not disappoint. They started with a visit to Merlion Park, where the iconic statue stood proudly against the backdrop of Marina Bay Sands. Next, they visited Gardens by the Bay, where the Supertree Grove took their breath away. The towering trees were unlike anything they had ever seen before.
The family wandered through the Flower Dome, a place which was home to a variety of beautiful flowers from around the world. They then headed to the Cloud Forest, where they marvelled at the indoor waterfall and the tropical plants. Sushil's friend jokingly pointed out that it was like walking through a mini rainforest.
The family continued their sightseeing adventure with a visit to Chinatown, where they explored the colourful streets and tried some delicious street food. The parents couldn’t resist grabbing a few souvenirs, while the young girl enjoyed a traditional snack of Kueh - a sweet, chewy treat.
Their day wrapped up with a visit to the Singapore Flyer, where they got a stunning view of the city from above. Sushil's daughter was excited but a bit nervous, but the breathtaking views helped her calm down a bit. The whole family agreed that the views were something that they'd always remember.
A Day of Sun and Sea
Towards the end of their trip, the family set off to Sentosa Island, for a day of sun, sea, and adventure.
They started at the S.E.A. Aquarium, where they were all stunned by the size of the tanks filled with exotic marine life. Their daughter was particularly impressed by the colourful creatures, and she spent a long time just staring at the jellyfish, fascinated by its graceful movements. The parents enjoyed watching the sharks glide past the glass walls, making them feel like they were deep under the sea.
The family then headed to Sentosa’s beaches for some fun in the sun. While their girl built sandcastles, her parents enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, dipping their toes in the warm water.
By the time they left Sentosa, they had made plenty of memories to take back home. As Sushil told later, “Singapore had given us a perfect combination of nature, relaxation, and adventure - leaving us eager to return soon. The trip was one for the books, and we knew we would treasure the moments we had shared forever.”
