Where Nature Meets Adventure: Tushar’s Thrillophilia Review of a Kerala Trip

When Tushar and his partner first reached out to Thrillophilia for their Kerala trip, they were eager to blend relaxation with adventure. Thrillophilia expertly created a tailored itinerary, recommending stunning spots like Munnar's waterfalls and spice plantations, along with thrilling activities like surfing and parasailing, perfectly matching their preferences for a memorable Kerala experience.

Through the Paradise

Tushar and his partner found the drive to Munnar from Kochi just as stunning as they’d heard, and every turn brought a scenic view. They even made a stop along the way to see the Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls. They were amazed by the massive waterfalls, gushing down with power, and the fresh air made them feel like they’d left the real world behind.

Tushar’s partner was surprised by the beauty of the landscapes in Kerala and snapped a hundred pictures. By the time they reached Munnar, they were already in vacation mode, ready to kick back and unwind. They ended up spending the rest of the day just walking around the town, chatting, and taking in the peaceful vibe.

Tea, Spices, and Blossoms

Day two was all about exploring Munnar. Their first stop during the sightseeing tour of the town was a spice plantation. Tushar’s partner was all over it, asking about every plant she saw. She was fascinated at the sight of how each spice in their kitchen looked like in its plant form. They found it really amazing how they could see where everything came from and learn about all the spices they usually just add to their food every day.

Then they were off for a tour of the tea gardens. These were the real deal, as in massive, rolling hills of tea plants that seemed to stretch on forever. The couple even got a chance to try some fresh tea, and both of them agreed it was the best they’d ever had.

Blossom Park was their next destination, where a colourful mix of flowers bloomed and shy deer grazed in the distance. Tushar’s partner spoke about how she found the place to be so relaxing that she could stay there all day.

And before they could realize it - it was time for them to visit the Mattupetty Lake. The boat ride around the lake was peaceful, and the cool breeze felt rejuvenating after a day of sightseeing.

In the Heart of Alleppey

On day three, Tushar and his partner visited Alleppey for the houseboat experience. They found the houseboat to be very cosy, and as they set off on the backwaters, they couldn’t stop staring at the scenery.

The best part was when they stopped to chat with a local fisherman. He was collecting his catch, and it was a simple, down-to-earth experience that made them feel connected to the place. They spent the evening watching the sunset over the water, sipping on coconut water, and just enjoying the ambience.

Dinner was something that the couple particularly enjoyed - they had freshly caught fish, along with a bunch of Kerala specialities that they'd never tasted before.

According to Tushar “This is the kind of food that makes you fall in love with a place.”

Thrills in Kovalam

Next, the duo made their way to Kovalam, where things got more action-packed. They’d heard a lot about the water sports there, and both of them were ready to dive in. They tried surfing for the first time, and after a few hilarious wipeouts, they finally got the hang of it.

Hooked on the adrenaline rush, they also went parasailing, and that was a whole different level of fun. They flew high above the beach, with the ocean stretched out beneath them - it was one of their favourite moments during their time in Kerala.

After all the thrilling sports, the couple also made a stop at the German Bakery for some quick bites. It had an awesome vibe, and the view of Lighthouse Beach from the café was the perfect backdrop to relax for a bit. Tushar’s partner, with a pancake in hand, spoke about how she’d love to visit Kerala again, as soon as she could. They spent the afternoon shopping for souvenirs, picking up some sarees, local spices, and a few trinkets to remember their trip.

Their last stop was in Trivandrum, where they visited the historic Padmanabhaswamy Temple. It was massive and beautiful, and the perfect way to wrap up their Kerala adventure. They both agreed that it had been a trip of a lifetime - one they’d always look back on with a smile.
