A Beautiful Family Getaway: Ritika’s Kerala Trip with Thrillophilia

Family trips often become the stories children remember the longest. For Ritika Singh, Ruel Singh and their 8-year-old daughter Vanessa, Kerala turned out to be the perfect blend of relaxation, scenery and shared moments. Ritika had not expected this destination to be so beautiful. She later admitted that if it were not for the guidance and planning done by Pankaj, she would have never chosen this journey.

This is the story of their Kerala experience: simple, honest, warm.

Arrival in Kochi and the Road to Munnar

The trip began in Kochi, where the family met their driver. Ritika noticed his calm nature immediately. His knowledge of the routes and his confidence behind the wheel made them feel safe. The journey to Munnar offered views filled with greenery, waterfalls, tea gardens and fresh mountain air.

At every turn, the scenery changed. Vanessa pressed her face to the window, excited by each hill and every cloud drifting across the sky. The family stopped at scenic viewpoints on the way and took short breaks to enjoy the cool weather.

By the time they reached Munnar, the pace of life had slowed down. The accommodation provided was clean, comfortable and peaceful. Ritika appreciated how seamlessly everything had been arranged. The first evening was spent resting and preparing for the next day.

Munnar Sightseeing: Green Hills and Calm Moments

The next morning began with fresh air and mist over the tea plantations. Munnar felt like a place removed from stress. The family visited major attractions, lakes, gardens, tea estates and popular viewpoints where the sky touched the hills.

Vanessa enjoyed running around the open spaces and posing for photos. Ritika and Ruel enjoyed the silence, the long stretches of green, the simplicity of the surroundings and the comforting pace of the day. The driver stayed patient throughout, explained places, suggested timings, and made sure the family covered everything without feeling rushed.

The day ended quietly back at their hotel in Munnar.

From Hills to Water: Journey to Alleppey

After two refreshing days in Munnar, it was time to travel to Alleppey. The family started early. As the hills slowly disappeared behind them, the backwater region came into view. Coconut trees, narrow canals, and calm water surfaces welcomed them into Alleppey.

Their accommodation for the night was the famous Kerala houseboat experience. It was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The gentle movement of the boat across the water made everything feel slow and peaceful.

Vanessa stood on the deck watching birds fly low over the water. Ritika and Ruel sat together enjoying the breeze. The cooking crew on the houseboat served them warm, flavourful Kerala-style meals. As the boat glided through the canals, small village houses appeared on the banks; children waved; and fishermen rowed past with quiet smiles.

The evening on the houseboat was one of the family’s favourite parts of the trip.

From Backwaters to the Sea: Alleppey to Varkala

The next morning began early. After breakfast on the houseboat, the family began their drive to Varkala. The route passed through quiet roads lined with coconut trees and small villages. The sea appeared slowly as they approached the destination.

Varkala had a different charm. The red cliffs, the blue sea, and the sound of waves created a pleasant atmosphere. They explored the viewpoints, the cliffside markets, and the beach. Vanessa loved the wide open spaces, while Ritika and Ruel enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the coastline.

Their hotel in Varkala was comfortable and close to the main attractions. The family spent time watching the sunset from the cliff; a moment Ritika described later as one of the calmest scenes she had witnessed.

A Reliable Driver and Smooth Arrangements

Throughout the journey, the biggest relief for Ritika was the driver. She mentioned that he was superb, patient, polite and very experienced. His knowledge of the routes helped them cover multiple attractions within the time. He suggested the best hours to avoid traffic, the right places to stop, and ensured the family felt safe at all times.

Ritika also appreciated the accommodation arrangements. Every property was clean, well-kept, and family-friendly. This made travelling with a child easier and more comfortable.

The coordination done by Pankaj made a major difference to Ritika. She felt that without his planning and suggestions, she would have missed the chance to explore a destination like Kerala.

A Simple Note of Thanks

At the end of the trip, Ritika shared her thoughts with gratitude.

“First of all, thanks to Pankaj for making this plan for my family. If he had not suggested it, I would never have been able to explore such a beautiful place. The driver was superb. He was great company. With his experience, we covered many places within time. His driving was cool, and the accommodation was nice.”

Her words reflected a journey filled with good moments, safe travel, scenic landscapes, and memories that she, Ruel and Vanessa will carry forward.

Kerala offered them green hills, quiet water, sunset views and peaceful days spent together. For a family travelling with a child, this trip became the kind of experience that stays close to the heart for years.
