Two Friends, One Epic Adventure: Ram's New Zealand Trip Review with Thrillophilia
Ram and Yash had always imagined what it would be like to visit New Zealand. With so much to see, they were unsure how to plan the perfect trip. When they came across Thrillophilia, everything fell into place. Their itinerary was packed with adventures, from the magical Hobbiton to the stunning landscapes of Queenstown.
A Relaxing Start in Auckland
Ram and Yash’s trip to New Zealand started in Auckland, and they couldn’t contain their excitement as they set out to uncover the city’s hidden gems and thrilling experiences that lay ahead. They decided to take it easy on their first day, simply wandering around and soaking in the sights.
First, they visited Albert Park, a lovely spot with lots of greenery and beautiful flowers. Ram thought it was the perfect place to relax, while Yash was busy taking pictures of everything. They then made their way to the War Memorial Museum, where they got to learn a bit about New Zealand’s history. The museum was interesting but the best part was the view from the top. They could see all of Auckland from there - the views of the city’s skyline and nearby islands were just fantastic.
Next up, they headed to One Tree Hill. It wasn’t a tough climb, and when they reached the top, the view was amazing. Ram was impressed by how vast the city looked, and Yash had already started making plans to come back there with his family.
Exploring the wonders of Hobbiton
The next day, Ram and Yash’s journey took them to Hobbiton, the iconic movie set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Both of them were huge fans of the movies, so they were beyond excited.
As soon as they stepped onto the set, they were like kids in a candy store. The Hobbit Holes, with their little round doors and colorful flowers, looked exactly like they had imagined. They spent hours wandering around, taking pictures at all the famous spots, like the Green Dragon Inn and the Mill. Ram joked around, pretending to be a hobbit, while Yash kept pointing out scenes from the movies.
The guide who showed them around shared fun facts about how the set was made and all the effort that went into creating each little detail. They even stopped for a drink at the Green Dragon Inn, feeling like real hobbits. It was a dream come true for both of them, and they were already talking about how amazing it would be to visit again in the future.
Embracing Nature and Adventure in Rotorua
After Hobbiton, the two of them made their way to Rotorua, known for its unique geothermal activity. They started their adventure with a trip to Waimangu Geothermal Valley. The place felt like something from a fantasy land, with steam rising from hot springs and pools of crystal-clear water.
They even saw New Zealand’s largest boiling mud pool, which was pretty unique to witness. The smell of sulfur in the air just added to the strange but fascinating experience. Yash was snapping pictures non-stop, while Ram couldn’t stop looking at the incredible scenery around them.
Later, they went to the Redwoods Treewalk, where they got a chance to walk high above the forest on suspension bridges. The giant trees all around them were breathtaking, and they were amazed by how peaceful and calm it felt up there. It was one of those moments when they both wished time could just slow down so they could enjoy it even more.
Admiring the Beauty of Queenstown & Fiordland
Before they could realize, it was time for them to fly to Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand - and it did not disappoint them.
Their first big adventure was a scenic cruise across Lake Wakatipu, which was surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The views were absolutely stunning, and Ram was amazed at how clear the water was.
Soon, they reached Walter Peak High Country Farm, where they got to see sheep shearing and learn about farm life. While Yash was fascinated by the process, Ram couldn’t resist making jokes about how he could be a better sheep herder. It was a fun stop, but the real magic happened when they hiked up Queenstown Hill.
After a short walk, they reached the top, where the view was jaw-dropping. They could see the whole town, the lake, and the mountains in the distance. It was one of those moments that made them both realize how lucky they were to be on such an amazing trip.
But the best part of their adventure came at Fiordland National Park. They went on a Milford Sound cruise, and the scenery was so beautiful that it felt unreal. They sailed through massive fjords, with towering cliffs all around them. The highlight for them was Stirling Falls, where water cascaded down from great heights. They also saw dolphins and seals, and it felt like they were in a nature documentary.
By the end of the day, they were both tired but incredibly happy. They agreed that the Milford Sound cruise was the perfect way to end their New Zealand journey. It had been a great trip, full of adventure, beautiful landscapes, and lots of fun. As they boarded their flight home, they couldn’t stop talking about all the amazing memories they had made and how they hoped to return one day.
