Ajaykumar Shah’s Romantic Japan Getaway Review with Thrillophilia

Ajaykumar had been planning something special for months. His wife’s birthday was coming up, and he wanted to give her the best gift. So, he surprised her with a trip to Japan, where she had wanted to go for a long time. With the help of Thrillophilia, he curated a romantic and beautiful itinerary.

Soon, they landed in Tokyo and were greeted by the pleasant atmosphere. When Ajaykumar saw the city’s skyline, he smiled to know that this was just the beginning of a romantic and memorable adventure.

They checked into their hotel and spent the first day resting. In the evening, they took a walk around the neighbourhood.

The Birthday Surprise in the City of Lights

Their real adventure began with a trip to Mount Fuji on the second day. Ajaykumar had perfectly planned everything. First, they visited Lake Kawaguchiko, where the reflection of Mount Fuji looked beautiful on the water. Then, they walked through the colourful flowers and open skies at the Oishi Park.

At Oshino Hakkai, they explored 8 crystal-clear ponds, created from Mount Fuji’s snow. They also climbed the steps at Arakurayama Sengen Park to see cherry blossoms around the Chureito Pagoda. Even the view of Mount Fuji from there was spectacular.

Their last stop of the day was the Gotemba Premium Outlets, where they shopped for souvenirs for their friends and family back home. On their way back, they visited Fuji Sengen Shrine to pay their respects.

Ajaykumar had one more surprise waiting for his wife.

The next day, they began their Tokyo City Tour. At Sensoji Temple, he bought her a small pendant for good health and happiness. He kept it in his backpack without her noticing.

They walked through the Meiji Jingu Shrine and explored the modern streets of Odaiba. Moreover, the couple stood among the crowds at the famous Shibuya Crossing and tasted fresh sushi at the Tsukiji Fish Market.

When they reached Tokyo Tower, Ajaykumar realised that it was the right moment. He handed a small box to his wife and wished her, “Happy Birthday!”

His wife was surprised to see the pendant from Sensoji Temple. She smiled and hugged him. “You are making this the best birthday ever.”

As the sun set, they went to the Tokyo Skytree to watch the entire city light up below them.

The Beauty of Nature

The next day, they went to explore the modern beauty of Japan. At Teamlab Planets, they walked through glowing rooms, mirrors, and digital art. Later, they visited the rooftop observation deck of Shibuya Sky to see the stunning views over Tokyo.

They also went on a guided tour to Nikko the other day. Their first stop in Nikko was Kirifuri Waterfall, where they sat for a long time and enjoyed the water cascading down. Then they visited the grand Nikkō Tōshō-gū Shrine, filled with carvings and golden details.

At Shinkyo Bridge, they paused to take pictures. The red bridge over the river gave the feel of a fairytale story. They later visited the peaceful Chuzenji Lake, followed by the powerful Kegon Falls. The last stop of the day was the Rinno-ji Temple, where they lit incense and took in the calm.

A Ride to Osaka

Ajakumar and his wife took the bullet train to Osaka. It was their first time on the train, and they were surprised to experience its speed and comfortability. In just a few hours, they reached the lively city of Osaka.

In the morning, they went on a day trip to Kyoto and Nara. Their first stop was Nara Park, where many deer roamed freely. One deer approached them, and they laughed as it nudged Ajaykumar for food. His wife fed it a few leaves and played with it.

They also visited Todai-ji Temple, which is home to one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in the world. Walking through the giant wooden gates and standing in front of the massive Buddha was magical.

After Nara, they visited Kyoto. There, they explored the magical Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. The tall and green bamboo stalks swayed above them as they walked hand in hand through the path.

They also visited Tenryu-ji Temple, surrounded by a peaceful Zen garden. They sat there for a while and enjoyed the sound of the wind moving through the trees.

They then visited the famous Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion. The temple glowed in the sunlight and its golden walls reflected in the still pond below. Their last stop was Fushimi Inari Shrine, with its long tunnels of red torii gates stretching up the hillside. As they walked through the gates, they soaked in the beauty around.

Time to Unwind in Kobe

Just a short ride from Osaka, Ajaykumar and his wife went to Kobe on the 8th day. They visited the Kobe Port, where they watched the ships and enjoyed sea views. Then they explored the indoor zoo at Kobe Animal Kingdom while laughing at the penguins and petting kangaroos.

They also walked through Kitano Ijinkan-Gai and saw the old Western-style houses of foreign traders who once lived there. Moving on, they visited a small Jain Temple that reminded them of home. As the sun set, they went back to Osaka.

The couple had kept the other day free. So, they used it to relax, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy Japanese food one last time. Ajaykumar bought a fridge magnet in the hope of saving a few small memories of this big trip.

Goodbye Japan, Until Next Time

It was time to leave Japan. They had seen temples, waterfalls, city lights, deer, mountains and created memories together.

Ajaykumar had given his wife a birthday she would never forget.

As their flight took off, they looked out the window one last time. Japan slowly disappeared under the clouds, but the memories stayed forever.
